The Corona virus has infected millions of people around the world since it was first discovered in WUhan China. In addition to implementing health protocols, strengthening the body’s immune system is one way that can be done to prevent transmission of this virus. As long as our immune system is strong, we will be protected from various other diseases and not just corona.

The novel coronavirus 2019 (2019-nCoV) or better known as the Corona / CObid-19 virus is a virus that can cause respiratory system disorders, acute pneumonia (lung infection), and kidney failure.

Covid-19 attacks people with low immune systems and people, especially the elderly. When our immune system is low, weak, or damaged, it is an open invitation for infections such as the coronavirus or other diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, or cancer.

Patients with coronavirus are required to drink enough water, to help keep their mucous membranes moist, which aims to reduce the chance of colds and flu. Drinking juice, coconut water, milk and green tea also helps.

Until now, various parties are still conducting clinical trials to produce vaccines that can prevent COVID-19 infection. Apart from maintaining cleanliness by diligently washing hands and wearing masks, we also have to strengthen our body’s immune system. Because the best medicine to fight all diseases is a strong immune system

Apart from a healthy lifestyle, it is recommended to take supplements in moderation to keep the immune system functioning properly.

Vitamin C helps prevent viral, bacterial, and other infections by shortening the duration of colds and acting as a natural antihistamine and anti-inflammatory.
Apart from being good for bones, vitamin D is also one of the most important immune system-strengthening nutrients that can reduce the risk of colds and flu.

Vitamin A, when taken in the short term, will help support the body’s ability to fight infections, especially respiratory infections.

Zinc can help reduce the number of infections and the duration of the common cold when taken within 24 hours of contracting it.

Selenium obtained from foods such as Brazil nuts is a key nutrient for immune function. Because selenium contains antioxidants that strengthen the body’s defenses against bacteria, viruses, and cancer cells.

Raw honey is great for relieving minor pain and inflammation of the mucous membranes, such as the nose and mouth (coughs and colds) and has antioxidant properties and some microbial effects. Add them to tea or hot water with lemon. (Note that children under 1 year old should not be given honey.)

Garlic, fresh, aged extract and garlic supplements, is useful in reducing the severity of upper respiratory tract infections and serves to prevent viral infections from the common cold.

Probiotics contain “good bacteria” for gut health and affect immune system function and regulation; reduce the number of respiratory tract infections, especially in children.

Sunergetic

Beta-glucan – stimulates activity against viral attacks, including reduction of cold and flu symptoms and respiratory tract infections.

Mushrooms – different species of mushrooms aid in immune function in various ways; including Shiitake, Lion’s Mane, Maitake, and Reishi.

Elderberry – research results indicate that elderberry has properties that help fight viruses; choose low-sugar capsules or tablets, if possible, as opposed to sweet syrups.
